I heard some working story of some guy that was active on many forums, and got many people on his forum by doing this.
He found some "Hot" girl avatar.
Put more stuff like that in his sig.
And put a link to his website with a fake ad with lots of "girls" all over it...
All he got were teens...
But it did work!
I don't know about you but.. That story made me laugh.
[I couldn't find where I heard it anymore so I re-typed it...]

nope in mid-july they're planning to launch it...

Spoiler: click to toggle

In the first Development Diary on our graphical improvements, we showed you the results of textures, texture blending, shadows and fog. In this, the second and final Development Diary on the release, we shine a light on the other effects we have been using.

Minimum specifications:

To play RuneScape's new detail level you will need:

1.5 GHz processor or higher
256MB of RAM or more
64MB 3D Graphics card, such as Nvidia(R) GeForce(TM) 3 or above
Additionally, your graphics card should have the latest drivers installed, to ensure the new detail level plays with no problems.

If you need more information on your computer's specifications or how to update your graphical drivers, visit our Tech Support Forum in the RuneScape Forums.

When the graphical improvement is released, you will be able to increase or decrease the number of graphical features that are activated. This will be done in your in-game 'Options' menu (the one with the spanner icon). So, any problems playing the new detail mode may be lessened by reducing the number of graphical features that are activated.

We would advise that your computer exceeds the above requirements, so you will be able to play the new detail mode without any issues.

REMINDER - The existing Low and High Detail will still be available, as the graphical update is completely optional.

The story of this graphic update project began a year and a half ago, and who better to ask about it than Lead Developer, Andrew Gower: “We've considered a hardware-rendered version of RuneScape a number of times in the past, but it was only two years ago that we felt Java was mature enough.” We knew the things we wanted – textures, shadows, lighting, fullscreen – and it seemed the right time to start, as Andrew continues: “I tasked the Tools team to run a feasibility study to verify if it was possible to do what we wanted to do.”

Mod Nick, Head of Tools, says, “It wasn't long before it became apparent that we wanted to do this, needed to do this to move forward and, more importantly, could do this, so it became my team's main focus.” The Tools team, which develops and maintains all of Jagex's in-house development software, then went about this study. They had to be very thorough, so spent around nine months researching things like how possible all of the features we wanted were, how we would do them, how they'd fit together, etc. Mod Nick says, “The feasibility study had to cover everything we wanted to achieve; we didn't start any work on the game's engine until we could prove, 100%, that nothing would stop us.”

Being a ‘Best Company’ takes a deep-rooted commitment by your organisation to being the best it can be in every area of the workplace and in supporting the day to day working lives of your workforce.

The very best organisations realise that focusing strongly on people brings very real benefits.

Meaningful benefits such as improved workplace engagement, better staff retention, reduced recruitment costs, and of course significantly, improved financial performance.

The Sunday Times

If you have ever been hired by the White Knights to spy on the troublesome Black Knights in an effort to uncover their evil scheme, either you have a rather more complicated working life than the rest of us, or you were logged on to RuneScape, the online computer game. As well loved by players for its social networking as for its medieval quests, RuneScape has about 5m users worldwide, and this sprawling parallel cyber universe is based in Cambridge, at the offices of Jagex.

At 86% positive, just six companies in the Best Companies survey scored higher for staff saying people in their teams care for each other. Jagex received the 13th highest score for employees finding their teams fun to work with (also 86% positive), and the 14th highest for people feeling a strong sense of family in their team, at 78% positive.

It is an employee profile which befits the youth of the company itself, founded seven years ago by brothers Andrew and Paul Gower and Constant Tedder, the former Chief Executive. Jagex is a seriously successful company. Profits last year hit £15m.

Current Chief Executive Geoff Iddison says: “I’ve never been in a company that’s had such an employee-friendly package.” Junior graphics artist Daniel Judge enjoys the friendliness and individuality of his working environment. “We all go out together at weekends; I settled in so quickly. Everyone’s encouraged to be themselves, whether you’re wearing Doc Martens or a football shirt,” he says.

Poker and role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons are some of the activities which employees enjoy together outside work, and the company is not shy when it comes to getting people together for a knees-up. The party to celebrate reaching 1 million subscribers was held in a huge marquee in a field, everyone wore fancy dress and the fun went on until 5am. Last year the whole company went to Tenerife for a two-night break at a five-star hotel. Judge says the nice touches are appreciated. “I just had my birthday and got a £60 voucher for Amazon,” he says. Baskets of fresh fruit greet employees each morning and everyone gets free gym membership and healthcare.

The company aims to be entirely carbon neutral by reducing its emissions and offsetting the remainder by donating to environmental charities. Employees are encouraged to cycle to work, an option made more attractive thanks to bike maintenance being carried out on site. Staff gave Jagex an 80% positive score for doing its bit to protect the environment – a top 10 result.

In December 2001 Andrew, Paul and Constant got together and founded Jagex Limited as a commercial operation to take over the running of RuneScape, underlying technologies and other games developed by Andrew. RuneScape had already by then become a game which had had over 1 million accounts created over 2001!

The three founders set out with two immediate tasks: firstly, to make the operation of RuneScape commercially viable, establishing long term advertising sales relationships, and secondly, to develop a premium version of the game for subscription-paying members.

Both of these tasks were achieved soon after, and on 27th February 2002 Jagex launched RuneScape Members version. In the first week after launch over 5000 people subscribed, making RuneScape instantly one of the largest pay-to-play Java games in the world.

Since that date RuneScape has gone from strength to strength: expanding as both a game - with regular updates giving new storylines, quests and maps produced by the content development team - and as an ever-growing community of sociable online gamers.
